About Us
We are a small farm that grows and cares for our land and it’s inhabitants organically and bio-dynamically. We are located in Toledo Washington, centrally located between Portland Oregon and Seattle.
We raise Nigerian dwarf goats for their amazing milk that has double the butterfat of standard dairy goats. Our two Great Pyrenees dogs, Mairu and Akasha, look after and provide protection to our herd. We also raise a variety of quail, chickens and ducks. In our fields we raise vegetable crops, culinary/medicinal herbs and flowers. Our small apiary of bees help pollinate our crops.
The milk the goats provide makes for wonderful cheese and body care products that we hand-craft. We also craft herbal balms and ointments. We cultivate mushrooms for both culinary and potential health benefits. Some other offerings we have are DIY mushroom grow kits, as well as fresh and dried mushrooms for sale. Currently cultivating Wine Cap mushrooms (seasonally), Blue Oyster & Pink Oyster mushrooms, Maitake and Lion’s Mane mushrooms.
All our animals are given high quality foods and herbs for health and well being. We live holistically and strongly believe in the connection of all beings. The care we give to our land, we also give to our products; passing the goodness on to you. Mitakuye oyasin! (The Lakota Phrase for “We are all related”.)
We love to share our farm and it’s inhabitants with people for a fun and educational experience. Farm visits are by appointment only, $10 per person (or equivalent purchase), as there is time taken away from daily chores, ect. Come play with the goats and learn about the fascinating life of mushrooms!
